Yes! We love working with local aquatic stores. If you want us to buy our shrimps for your store or display, please email us at info@chicagoneocaridina.com.

Aside from potential merch, we do not plan to sell other aquatic items at this time other than what's available on our online store.

If your shrimps are dead on arrival (DOA), please take a photo of your unopened bag and make sure it is clear how many dead shrimps you have. Send the image with the count to info@chicagoneocaridina.com, and we'll issue you a refund for the DOA amount.

Typically, we ship a couple of extra shrimp with your order to avoid any DOA incident. You'll only be refunded for any amount that falls below the amount you ordered.

Questions about Cherry Shrimps

Neocaridina are freshwater shrimp! Most popularly often referred to as Cherry Shrimps.

Neocaridinas are omnivores and can eat a variety of foods, including algae, pellets, and blanched vegetables. It's important to provide a balanced diet and not overfeed.

Slowly adjust the water parameters for one to two hours to acclimate your shrimp to their new environment. This can be done by adding small amounts of water from the aquarium to the bag or container the shrimp came in. The drip method is the best for this.

Caring for your shrimp involves maintaining good water quality, providing a balanced diet, and avoiding overcrowding. You should also monitor the shrimp for signs of illness and treat any issues promptly.

They can coexist with many fish species, but some may view them as food. Choosing compatible tank mates and providing plenty of hiding places for the shrimp is essential.

We've found that the best results are confined to peaceful fish growing no bigger than 1.5-2 inches. We have a tank setup with a few cherry shrimps in a community tank with guppies, albino cories, neon tetras, and an otocinclus with a few snails!

If your aquarium only has shrimp, we'd recommend avoiding water changes unless you have to do so. These shrimp are very sensitive to water parameter changes and can induce stress and cause premature or problems with molting.
